About vivo

vivo sells phones across the range and is one of the largest manufacturers in China, India and South East Asia. Its flagship X series is built around photography, with the optics developed in a long-running partnership with Zeiss, and it is the line the company puts its imaging engineering into.

Below that sit the volume ranges - Y and V - which are where most of the units go, and alongside them iQOO, a sub-brand aimed at performance and gaming rather than cameras.

The company was founded on 22 May 2009 and is headquartered in Dongguan, Guangdong. Its founders are given as Shen Wei and Duan Yongping. It is widely reported to belong to the same group as OPPO, under the BBK Electronics name; the two operate as distinct businesses with their own leadership, and the exact corporate relationship above them is not publicly established.

iQOO 16 Expected

There is no announcement. iQOO has not confirmed the iQOO 16, its date, its chip or its price. Everything circulating about an 8,500mAh battery, a Snapdragon part or a 2K screen comes from leaks, and this page will not repeat any of it as fact. The current phone is the iQOO 15. iQOO confirmed a 20 October 2025 launch event in Shenzhen, where the phone appeared alongside the iQOO Pad 5e, the iQOO Watch GT 2 and the iQOO TWS 5 earphones. iQOO India then said the phone would reach India in November 2025. On the name, iQOO skips 14, so 16 follows 15. On timing, the iQOO 15 landed in October 2025 as the successor to the iQOO 13 from the year before, and reports place the iQOO 16 in September or October 2026. Two autumn launches in a row is the whole basis for the late 2026 window here.

vivo V80 Series Announced

There is no announcement. vivo has not confirmed a V80, a launch date or a single specification. Indian tipsters have pointed at a mid-August window and several outlets have repeated that, and none of it came from vivo. The current models are the vivo V70 and V70 Elite, which vivo launched in India on 19 February 2026. The V70 went on sale at Rs 45,999 with ZEISS-branded cameras and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. vivo also flagged a V70 FE to follow later, so the current generation is not finished expanding. The window on this page comes from the calendar, not from a source inside vivo. In India the V50 arrived in February 2025, the V60 in August 2025, and the V70 in February 2026. Three steps of roughly six months each is why the second half of 2026 is a fair guess, and why nothing narrower than that belongs here.

vivo X500 Series Announced

Nothing here is official. vivo has made no announcement about the phone that follows the X300 family. There has been no launch event, no press release and no product page. The name X500 turns up in network certification filings and in the GSMA device database, and outlets have run with it, but vivo itself has said nothing about the phone, its parts or its date. What exists today is the X300 family. vivo confirmed a 13 October 2025 launch in China for the X300 and X300 Pro. The line widened through 2026: vivo showed the X300 Ultra at MWC in Barcelona, then officially revealed a 30 March 2026 China launch for the X300 Ultra and X300s, and announced the X300 Ultra's global release on 15 April 2026 with the ZEISS Master Lenses Collection. The release pattern is what gives the window here. The X100 arrived in China in November 2023, the X200 series launched on 14 October 2024, and the X300 series on 13 October 2025. Three generations in three years, the last two within a day of each other in mid-October. Some reports point at a September 2026 debut instead. That is a report, not a date, so this page stays with the broad window.
