About vivo V80 Series

vivo has now published the V80 name through its official Malaysia store, but the product is not yet on sale. The store lists a vivo V80 Lite pre-book item for RM5 and labels it as reservation-only, not selling. That is enough to move this page from an unannounced expectation to an announced pre-launch product, but it is not enough to claim a full V80 family, final specifications, a retail price, or a release date. The current fully released generation remains the V70 family in markets where vivo sells it.

What vivo has officially confirmed about the V80

The strongest evidence is vivo's own Malaysia store. It now lists V80 Lite as a pre-book product and asks RM5 for the reservation. The listing also says reservation-only and not selling, which matters because it separates a launch campaign from actual retail availability. vivo has therefore confirmed the V80 name in commerce, but has not yet provided the normal information that appears on a released phone page, such as a complete specification sheet, memory configurations, colors, final retail price, or shipping date.

For that reason Brandligo is treating the V80 line as announced rather than released. The RM5 figure is a reservation amount, not the phone's sale price, and should not be presented as the product price.

What is still unknown

There is still no reliable basis for publishing specifications for the V80 Lite or for claiming other V80 models. vivo's comparison page currently leaves the V80 Lite hardware fields blank, including processor, battery capacity, operating system, charging, memory, display and cameras. Those empty fields are more useful than rumor because they show exactly what vivo has not yet committed to on its own store.

Until vivo fills those fields or publishes a launch page, any chipset, battery, camera or display claims circulating elsewhere should be treated as leaks rather than product facts. The same applies to a final retail price and exact sales date.

How it compares with the current V70 generation

The V70 is the useful reference point because it is a current, fully specified vivo product. vivo's Malaysia store lists the V70 with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 6500 mAh battery, 90W charging, AMOLED display and ZEISS-branded camera hardware. The V70 FE is also already listed for sale in several memory configurations.

Those details describe the V70 family only. They should not be copied forward to the V80. A new numbered generation can change processor, camera hardware, battery size, charging, memory tiers and even regional availability. Brandligo will keep those generations separate rather than turning previous-model specifications into predictions.

Should buyers wait for the V80

Someone who specifically wants the newest V-series phone may reasonably wait because vivo has now opened a pre-book campaign. Someone who needs a phone immediately should judge the V70 and V70 FE on their current prices and confirmed specifications instead of assuming the V80 will be better value.

The important point is that a pre-book reservation is not the same as normal retail stock. Until vivo publishes the actual product price and starts selling the handset, there is no sound basis for saying whether the V80 Lite is a better purchase than the models already available.

Who should buy something else

Buyers who need a phone now should not treat the V80 Lite reservation as a finished retail launch. The current V70 family is the safer choice for an immediate purchase because its specifications, prices and availability can be checked directly.

Buyers who need a specific camera system, storage capacity, processor or battery size should also wait for vivo's final product page before deciding on the V80. Those details are not confirmed yet.
