About Honor
Honor sells phones, tablets, laptops and wearables, with the Magic series as its flagship line and a broad mid-range beneath it. Its position in the market is unusual, and it comes from how the company was created.
Honor began in 2013 as Huawei's younger, online-first sub-brand, aimed at buyers who would not have considered the parent. In November 2020, with US sanctions cutting Huawei off from the components and software its phones depended on, Huawei sold Honor outright to a consortium majority-owned by Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology, which includes the Shenzhen city government. The sale was widely read as a way of letting the brand survive something the parent could not shield it from.
As an independent company it regained access to Google's services and to chipsets Huawei could no longer buy, and has since built the Magic line back up, including folding models. It is headquartered in Shenzhen and led by chief executive George Zhao.

Honor Magic 9 Series Announced
Honor has announced nothing. No date, no event, no specification list, no price. Reports point at late September or October in China, and those reports come from leakers rather than from Honor. Claims about flat screens, ARRI camera work or a particular Snapdragon part are leaks, so they are not stated here. The current line is the Magic8 series, which Honor launched in China in October 2025 and announced through its own newsroom. Honor confirmed the launch timeframe itself before the event. The Magic8 Pro shipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED screen, a triple 50MP rear camera and MagicOS 10 on Android 16. The timing pattern is short but real. The Magic7 series was unveiled in late October 2024 and the Magic8 series in mid-October 2025. Two Octobers in a row is why this page says late 2026 and nothing tighter. Honor moved this line earlier in the year before the Magic7, so treat the window as a habit rather than a commitment.

Honor 700 Series Expected
No announcement. Honor has said nothing about a 700 series. The name shows up in leaked roadmaps, and one of those leaks mentions a small rear screen. None of that is repeated here as fact, and no chip, camera or price is listed, because Honor has published none. The current models are the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. Honor unveiled the 600 series on 22 April 2026 through its own newsroom and put it on sale from 30 April in Malaysia, with a European release as well. Honor pitches it as a premium mid-range line, carrying forward the 200MP camera work it began with the 400 series and leaning on night photography. This page carries no window. Honor has not published a date, and the search record does not show this number line settling into one month year after year. A broad guess would look like information and would not be any.
