Arpatech

Arpatech was founded in Karachi in 2003 and is led by its founder and chief executive, Jamal Khan. Its head office is in SMCHS, Karachi, and it serves clients in the United States, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

The company describes itself as having more than 250 technology professionals. Its work splits into two halves. One is software development: custom applications, web platforms, ecommerce systems and mobile apps, mostly for startups and small and medium businesses. The other is IT operations: managed services, DevOps as a service, cloud consulting, IT support and cybersecurity.

It also runs business process outsourcing and supplies engineers through staff augmentation, so a client can use it either as a project team or as extra capacity inside an existing department.

Arpatech's client base spans financial services, healthcare, communications, energy, transportation, and consumer and retail businesses.

The combination is useful when a buyer wants one supplier to build a system and then run it. A team that only needs a single application built may find the operations side irrelevant, while a business without its own IT department may value having development, hosting and support under one contract.
