Zigron

Zigron was founded in 2006 by technologists who had previously worked at large US firms including PNC Financial, Verizon and Goldman Sachs. It describes itself as a US company, with offices in Virginia and Pittsburgh, and its engineering team works from Gulberg Greens in Islamabad. Published profiles put the team at more than 200 engineers.

The company began with custom enterprise software, web and mobile applications and user experience work. Over time it narrowed toward networks, big data and the Internet of Things, and its main client sectors are now telecoms, healthcare, broadband and energy.

Its IoT and industrial IoT work covers solution development, custom applications, device integration, data analytics and security. Alongside that it offers AI and machine learning services, from model development and data analysis to system integration and low-code implementations, plus cloud engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps and managed services.

Zigron has also built work around smart homes, energy management and wider urban and industrial systems, where connected devices, data pipelines and cloud platforms have to work together.

This focus makes it a fit for operators and product companies with physical devices or network infrastructure behind their software. A buyer who needs a straightforward web or mobile app without a hardware or data side may find a general software house a simpler choice.
