About PostEx

PostEx is a courier and a lender at the same time, and the combination is a response to how Pakistani ecommerce actually settles. Most online orders there are still paid in cash at the door, which means a merchant's money sits in transit for as long as delivery and reconciliation take. Working capital that should be buying the next batch of stock is instead spread across a few thousand parcels. PostEx pays the merchant when the parcel is collected rather than when the cash comes back, and carries the gap itself. Because it is also the courier, it can price that gap against delivery data it already holds rather than against accounts a small online seller may not keep. The company was founded in 2020 by Muhammad Omer Khan, Saad Mahmood, Babar Razzaq and Adil Naseem, and is headquartered in Lahore. In 2022 it acquired Call Courier, which Bloomberg reported as making it Pakistan's largest ecommerce delivery operator; at that point the combined business was handling about 50,000 orders a day across roughly 500 cities. Reported funding stands at around USD 16 million, including a USD 7.3 million pre-Series A led by Conjunction Capital.

Frequently asked questions

What does PostEx do?
It delivers ecommerce orders and advances the merchant their money at collection rather than after the cash-on-delivery payment has been reconciled. The two halves are the same business: being the courier is what lets it price the advance.
Why does that matter in Pakistan specifically?
Because most online orders there are still paid in cash at the door. Between dispatch and reconciliation a seller's working capital is sitting in parcels rather than buying stock.
What was the Call Courier acquisition?
PostEx acquired the logistics company Call Courier in 2022. Bloomberg reported the combined business as Pakistan's largest ecommerce delivery operator, handling about 50,000 orders a day across roughly 500 cities at that time.
When was PostEx founded, and where is it based?
Founded in 2020 by Muhammad Omer Khan, Saad Mahmood, Babar Razzaq and Adil Naseem, and headquartered in Lahore.
