What is the SureColor F-Series for?

The F-Series is built around textile production. Current models cover dye-sublimation transfer printing as well as direct-to-garment and direct-to-film workflows. Dye-sublimation models are a strong fit for polyester sportswear, soft signage, decor and coated promotional products, while Epson's hybrid garment models serve shops printing apparel and transfers. Buyers should start with the application because these workflows are not interchangeable.

How do the production models differ?

Epson scales the range from desktop and mid-size equipment to 64-inch production printers. The F9570 and F9570H sit toward the high-volume dye-sublimation end, with production speeds up to 1,590 square feet per hour and hot-swappable 1.6-liter ink packs. The F9570 uses a four-color UltraChrome DS ink configuration, while the F9570H adds two channels that can be configured for Light Cyan and Light Magenta, Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Yellow, or Orange and Violet.

What should a print shop compare before buying?

Look beyond purchase price. Check the maximum media width, the intended substrate, ink configuration, required heat-transfer equipment, floor space, electrical requirements, RIP workflow and service coverage. A fast 64-inch printer can improve throughput only when the rest of the production line can keep pace. Shops should also price ink, transfer paper, maintenance, finishing and downtime rather than treating the printer price as the full cost of production.

Who should choose another Epson range?

A sign shop focused on solvent graphics should compare the SureColor S-Series instead. Businesses printing rigid boards or direct-to-object promotional items should look at the V-Series UV flatbed range. A photo or fine-art studio is better served by SureColor P-Series printers. Buyers producing mostly office documents, CAD drawings or general business output should not pay for textile-specific hardware that does not match their work.

Why the F9570 generation matters

Epson introduced the F9570 and F9570H in August 2024 as replacements for the F9470 and F9470H. The newer platform brought a more compact design, a user-replaceable 2.6-inch PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead with Nozzle Verification Technology, high-capacity hot-swappable ink packs and Epson Cloud Solution PORT monitoring.
