Tines
Tines lets security teams automate the repetitive parts of their work without writing code, built by two people who had spent years doing that work by hand.
About Tines
Tines is a workflow automation platform that started with security operations. The work it targets is the part of a security analyst's day that is unmistakably mechanical: an alert arrives, you look up an address in three systems, check it against a threat feed, decide it is nothing, and close it. Then it happens again. Automating that has always been possible in principle and usually meant writing and maintaining scripts, which is a second job the security team does not have time for. The distinction Tines draws is that the analyst builds the automation themselves, without code and without waiting on an engineering team. The platform has since broadened past security into general workflow automation. The company was founded in 2018 in Dublin by Eoin Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella, who between them had spent more than fifteen years in security roles at eBay, DocuSign and PayPal. Its Series B raised USD 26 million led by Addition, with CrowdStrike's venture fund taking part, at a USD 300 million valuation.
