Bespoke is Samsung's name for its upper range of home appliances, and the laundry part of it covers four different shapes of machine rather than one. There are front load washers and matching dryers sold as a pair, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo which washes and dries in a single drum, and the Bespoke AI Laundry Hub which stacks a washer and a dryer into one cabinet under one control panel.

Those four are not variations on a theme. They solve different problems, and the machine that suits a house with a dedicated laundry room is rarely the one that suits a flat with a cupboard. The choice that matters most on this line is not which colour panel to fit. It is whether the room has a vent, because that single fact governs both what can be installed and what it costs to run afterwards.

What the Bespoke laundry line actually covers

The line spans four formats and they are not interchangeable. A traditional pair gives a separate washer and a separate dryer, which can run at the same time. The Laundry Combo puts both jobs in one drum, so nothing is transferred between machines but only one job happens at a time. The Laundry Hub stacks a washer above a dryer in a single cabinet with one panel, which keeps the two machines independent while taking the floor space of one.

Capacities differ across those formats, so a figure quoted for one machine here says nothing about the next. Samsung sells the Laundry Combo with a 5.3 cubic foot drum, which is a full size wash load rather than the reduced drum that all in one machines used to carry. The Laundry Hub is sold in more than one size, including a 4.6 cubic foot and a 5.3 cubic foot washer paired with a 7.6 cubic foot dryer in the same cabinet. Standalone Bespoke washers and dryers span a wider set of sizes again.

Vented or ventless: the choice that decides running cost

The Laundry Combo is sold in two versions that look almost identical and cost very different amounts to operate. The vented version exhausts hot air through a duct in the wall. The ventless version uses a heat pump to condense moisture out of the air and recirculate it, so it can be installed in a room with no duct at all.

The gap between them is large and worth knowing before ordering. Trusted Reviews measured the vented model at 1.45 US dollars per cupboard dry cycle against 0.27 US dollars on the ventless heat pump version. Over a few years of ordinary household laundry that difference is not a rounding error.

The ventless machine pays for that in time. Reviewed timed the vented Samsung combo at 68 minutes and the ventless at 98 minutes for a comparable run. So the honest framing is a trade between a machine that finishes sooner and costs more per load, and one that goes anywhere and finishes later. If the room already has a duct, the decision is genuinely open. If it does not, the ventless model is the only one of the two that can be installed, and the longer cycle is the price of that.

What the AI features change day to day

Samsung puts AI in the name of most of this line, and some of it earns the billing more than the rest. AI OptiWash senses the load and adjusts the cycle rather than running a fixed programme, which mostly means not having to think about which setting a mixed load wants. The AI Smart Dial learns which cycles a household actually uses and moves them to the front, which is a small convenience that compounds. Super Speed is the one with a number attached: Samsung states a full load in roughly 28 minutes.

The hardware around the software is worth noting too. The Laundry Combo carries a 7 inch colour panel and opens its door automatically at the end of a cycle, which helps clothes air rather than sit damp in a sealed drum. Samsung also states a 10 year warranty on the Digital Inverter Motor for select washers bought from 1 April 2026 onward, which is a longer commitment than this category usually offers.

How it compares with the GE and LG combos

The all in one category has three serious entrants and Samsung does not automatically win it. Reviewed ranked the GE Profile combo first overall on a 4.8 cubic foot drum, and placed the Samsung vented combo first among vented machines specifically. So Samsung's advantage is largely capacity and speed rather than an outright lead.

Against LG, the picture is clearer. Reviewed put the LG WashCombo at two to three hours or more per full wash and dry run, against 98 minutes for the ventless Samsung. If a household runs laundry in the evening and wants it out before bed, that gap decides the purchase on its own.

One independent finding cuts the other way and deserves stating. Trusted Reviews found clothes leaving the wash phase holding roughly 50 to 56 percent of their weight in water, above the 40 percent the reviewer treats as a good result. A wetter load entering the dry phase is a load that takes longer and costs more to dry, which slightly undercuts the speed argument.

Who should buy something else

Anyone who does laundry in back to back loads should buy a separate washer and dryer, not a combo. A single drum can only wash or dry, never both at once, so the second load waits for the first to finish drying. For a family running four or five loads on a Saturday, a pair of machines finishes the day considerably sooner, and the Bespoke line sells those too.

Anyone with a duct already in the wall and a tight budget should look hard at the standalone pair before the combo. The convenience of not transferring a load is real, but it is the thing being paid for, and a conventional washer and dryer of the same capacity generally costs less.

Anyone who mainly needs a large drum and does not want smart features should consider the GE Profile machine, which Reviewed ranked above the Samsung overall, or a plain Bespoke washer with the dial rather than the panel. The AI features here are genuinely useful to somebody who wants the machine to decide, and close to irrelevant to somebody who always runs the same two cycles.

Anyone in a rented flat should check the installation before anything else. The ventless combo removes the duct problem but not the others: these are heavy full size machines, and drainage, a suitable circuit and a floor that can carry the spin cycle all still apply.
