No Galaxy A58 has been announced. Samsung has not named it, dated it, priced it or described a single component, so this page carries no specifications for it and will not guess at any. The current model is the Galaxy A57 5G, announced in March 2026 alongside the Galaxy A37 5G and available in the United States from 9 April 2026 at 549.99 dollars. What can be said about a Galaxy A58 is where it would sit if Samsung ships one: the upper end of the Galaxy A range, below the Galaxy S line, aimed at buyers who want a long software life and a good screen more than they want the best camera hardware Samsung makes. What Samsung has confirmed, and what the calendar suggests

Samsung has confirmed nothing. No name, no date, no chipset, no price.

The timing is the one area where this line has a genuine record rather than a rumour. The Galaxy A53 arrived in March 2022, the A54 in March 2023, the A55 in March 2024, the A56 in March 2025 and the A57 in March 2026. Five consecutive years in the same month is a stronger pattern than most Samsung lines offer.

That makes a spring 2027 refresh a reasonable expectation rather than a claim. It is not a commitment from Samsung, and the name, the price and every specification remain unknown until Samsung publishes them.

Treat any page listing Galaxy A58 specifications as invented. There is no source for them because Samsung has not produced one.

The Galaxy A57, which is what you would actually buy today

Samsung announced the A57 5G in March 2026 and put it on sale in the United States on 9 April 2026 at 549.99 dollars.

It has a 6.7 inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with Vision Booster, running up to 120Hz. Inside is an Exynos 1680, with 8GB of memory and a choice of 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The rear cameras are a 50MP main at f/1.8, a 12MP ultra wide at f/2.2 and a 5MP macro at f/2.4, with a 12MP front camera at f/2.2. The battery is 5,000mAh typical, charging at 45W wired, which Samsung rates as reaching about 60 percent in around 30 minutes. The charger is not in the box.

The body is 6.9mm thick, half a millimetre thinner than the A56 it replaced, with a glossy finish and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus.

It ships on Android 16 with One UI 8.5, and carries Samsung's commitment to up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades plus up to six years of security updates.

What the A number actually buys you

The Galaxy A range is where most Samsung phones sold worldwide sit, and the top of it is a specific trade rather than a cheap version of a Galaxy S.

What you get is the screen and the software life. A 120Hz AMOLED panel at this price is the strongest part of the package, and six years of updates is a commitment that used to belong only to flagships. A phone bought at the top of the A range should still be receiving security patches long after cheaper rivals have stopped.

What you give up is camera hardware and the extras. There is no telephoto lens, so there is no optical zoom worth planning around. Android Headlines notes the A57 has no expandable storage and no wireless charging.

Processing power is mid-range by design. The Exynos in this line handles everyday use and most games at reduced settings, and it is not intended to match the chip in a Galaxy S.

What to weigh it against

The closest comparison inside Samsung is the Galaxy S Plus from a year or two earlier, often available at a similar price once discounted. That route buys a better camera system and a faster chip, at the cost of starting further into its update window.

Outside Samsung, Google's Pixel A series is the standing rival at this price and competes on camera processing rather than screen or battery. Chinese makers generally offer faster charging and more memory for the money, and shorter update commitments.

Against the Galaxy A37 5G, the cheaper model announced at the same time, the A57 adds a better ultra wide camera at 12MP against 8MP, a Super AMOLED Plus panel rather than Super AMOLED, and a thinner body, for 100 dollars more.

Against its own predecessor the case is weakest. Android Headlines describes the A57 as extremely similar to the A56 and says that if you own the A56 it does not seem to make much sense to get this one, with the gains limited largely to Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0 and a slightly newer chip.

Who should buy something else

If you own a Galaxy A56, keep it. The independent verdict on the A57 is that the year on year change does not justify replacing it, and a Galaxy A58 would have to be a bigger step than the A57 was to change that.

If you photograph anything at distance, buy elsewhere. There is no telephoto camera in this line and there has not been one, so zoom is a crop.

If you play demanding games, the chip in this range is the limiting factor and no software update will change it. A discounted previous generation Galaxy S is the better use of the same money.

If you need wireless charging or a memory card slot, the A57 has neither, and nothing suggests a successor would add them.

If your budget is the binding constraint, the Galaxy A37 5G at 449.99 dollars keeps the screen size, the battery and the update commitment, and gives up the better ultra wide camera and some thinness.

And if you are holding out specifically for a Galaxy A58, note that you would be waiting on a phone Samsung has not acknowledged, while the current one is already discounted.
