instinctools has been building software since 2000, when it started in Stuttgart as a seven-person web development shop. It is now over four hundred people and describes itself as co-headquartered in Stuttgart and in Potomac, Maryland, with delivery centres in Poland, India, Kazakhstan and Latin America.
The work is product development and consulting: custom software, data and business intelligence, machine learning, and the strategy around deciding what to build. Its vibe coding offer is pitched at the cautious end of the market, which suits a company whose clients tend to be large enough that shipping something unreviewed is not an option.
A quarter of a century of delivery is a different proposition from an agency that started when the term did, and it is worth knowing which one you are talking to.
