No price announced
Nothing has been announced. Google has not confirmed an Android 18, has not opened a developer preview for it and has not named it publicly. Anything written about its features at this point is guesswork. Android 17 is the current release. It reached stable on 16 June 2026 and began rolling out to Pixel phones from the Pixel 6 onward, alongside the June 2026 Pixel Drop. Android 17 follows a two part model, with the major release in the middle of the year and a smaller SDK update later in the year, plus quarterly platform releases in between. Google ships one new numbered Android a year, and it has moved the major release earlier. Android 14 arrived in October 2023, Android 15 in September 2024, Android 16 in June 2025 and Android 17 in June 2026. On that pattern the next numbered version falls in 2027, which is why the window here is a year rather than a month.
