About Teamwork.com

Teamwork.com makes project and task management software aimed specifically at teams doing client work. That focus is narrower than it sounds and it is the whole product argument: an agency needs to know which hours are billable, what a client can see, and whether a given project is actually making money. General project management tools treat all three as reporting problems bolted on afterwards. The founders knew this because they were the customer. Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey were running a Cork web agency called Digital Crew and built the tool for themselves when nothing they could buy did the job. The company was founded on 1 January 2007 in Blackpool, Cork, and is still headquartered there. It grew for many years without venture capital, funded from the agency's own revenue, which is rare enough in software to be the thing most often written about it; it has since taken growth investment from Bregal Milestone. The Business Post has reported annual revenue above EUR 40 million.
