ABHI
ABHI lets salaried employees draw wages they have already earned before payday, and has grown from that into payroll and SME financing across Pakistan and the Gulf.
About ABHI
ABHI is an embedded finance company that started with a single idea: an employee halfway through the month has already earned half a salary, and should not have to borrow at a moneylender's rate to reach it. Its earned wage access product lets staff draw part of their accrued pay early through an arrangement with their employer, which makes it a payroll timing question rather than a personal loan. The platform has since widened into payroll processing, financing for small and medium businesses, and cross-border payments, with a particular focus on Gulf labour markets and the expatriate workers in them. It operates in Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The company was founded in 2021 by Omair Ansari and Ali Ladhubhai, is based in Karachi, and went through Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch. Roughly USD 58 million has been reported raised across five rounds.
