Full product engineering, from architecture through to build, deployment and the running of it afterwards. We are happy to hand over completely, and we are happy to stay on. Both are normal.

About Custom Web Application Development

Custom Web Application Development is Metacubic's line for products built from scratch: architecture, build, deployment, and running the thing afterwards if you want that.

The stack is Laravel on the server with React or Angular on the front. What sits under it is usually the harder part, because applications with several roles and real permissions live or die on their data model rather than their interface.

Handover is a genuine option, not a threat. Some clients take the codebase and their own team runs it. Others keep Metacubic on a retainer for years. Both are normal, and neither is priced as a punishment for choosing the other.

What kind of applications does this line cover?

Applications with state behind them. Dashboards, customer portals, marketplaces, booking systems, internal tools that three or four roles each use differently.

The shared trait is that a spreadsheet stopped working. Somebody is maintaining a process by hand, several people need different slices of the same data, and the errors have started costing money.

What is out of scope is the brochure website. Five pages, some images and a contact form does not need custom engineering, and buying it here means paying for a data model nobody will ever use.

Where do custom application projects usually go wrong?

Roughly half of the effort on a serious build goes into two things almost nobody puts in the brief: the data model and the permissions.

The data model is the expensive one. Get the relationships wrong and every future feature fights the schema, which is why applications that felt fast for six months suddenly take a quarter to change. Fixing it later means a migration nobody wants to run against live data.

Permissions are the other. Most briefs say admin and user. Most real businesses have a manager who can see a team's figures but not edit them, a finance role that can see money but not customers, and a support agent who can act on behalf of somebody else. Discovering that in month four is a rewrite.

What does handover actually mean here?

Two shapes, chosen deliberately rather than by default.

A clean handover means the code, the infrastructure and the documentation transfer to you, and your team runs it. This is the right call if you have engineers, or intend to hire them. Nothing is built on a platform you cannot leave, and there is no hosting arrangement that holds the application hostage.

A retainer means Metacubic stays on for changes, upgrades and the unglamorous maintenance that keeps an application from decaying. Most products need somebody doing this, and pretending otherwise is how a working system becomes a legacy system in three years.

The decision does not have to be made at the start. It usually becomes obvious once the first version is live.

Who should choose a different line?

If an application already exists and the problem is that it is slow, fragile or unmaintained, Laravel Platform Engineering is the right line. Rebuilding a system whose business logic is correct is an expensive way to end up roughly where you started.

If you need a website rather than an application, almost any competent WordPress or Webflow shop will serve you better and faster.

If the centre of what you want is an AI agent or a retrieval system, start at Metacubic AI. Application work may still be needed underneath, but the shape and the risks of the project are different.

And if your requirements are still changing weekly because the business model is unsettled, a fixed-scope build will fight you the whole way. Wait, or run a discovery sprint first.

How does a build get scoped and delivered?

Discovery first for anything unclear: a short paid sprint that produces an architecture, a data model and an estimate somebody can actually stand behind.

Then either a fixed-scope build with a timeline, which works when discovery genuinely settled the requirements, or a retainer where the team stays on and priorities get reset every month.

Metacubic has been building software since 2016, registered in Delaware with its engineering team in Pakistan. The enterprise record worth checking is telecom, because that sector exposes weak engineering quickly: the CelcomDigi eSIM platform, the Telenor B2B portal and Nadel CRM are production systems with real subscribers and real billing consequences attached. Systems at that scale fail on concurrency, queue design and third-party timeouts, none of which are visible in a demonstration.
