It is aimed at buyers who want a large 4K HDR image but do not have the room depth that a conventional standard-throw projector usually needs. With 3,500 lumens of equal color and white brightness, a laser light source and Epson's 3-chip 3LCD system, it sits above the LS5000 and LS6000 in this new range while remaining below the older LS11000 in Epson's Home Cinema positioning.

Its biggest reason to choose it is not simply extra brightness. The LS7500 uses a dedicated short-throw Epson Cinema lens that can place the projector about three feet closer to the wall than conventional projectors while supporting images up to 300 inches. That can make a meaningful difference in a media room where seating, ceiling position or room depth makes a normal long placement awkward.

Why choose the LS7500 instead of the LS5000 or LS6000?

The LS7500 is the most expensive of Epson's three new September 2026 Home Cinema models at $2,699.99 MSRP. In return, it raises brightness to 3,500 lumens and, more importantly, switches to a short-throw lens. The LS5000 and LS6000 use Epson Cinema standard-throw lenses, so they are better fits when the room already has enough projection distance and the lower price matters more.

For a buyer working with a large screen in a room that is not especially deep, the LS7500 has the clearest practical advantage. Its lens can reduce the required distance to the wall by roughly three feet compared with conventional projectors, according to Epson. That is useful, but it is still a short-throw projector rather than an ultra-short-throw model designed to sit directly below the screen.

What picture performance does it offer?

Epson rates the LS7500 at 3,500 lumens for both color brightness and white brightness. Its 3-chip 3LCD projection engine avoids the need for a single-chip color wheel, while Epson's 4K Display Technology produces a full 8.29-million-pixel image on screen.

The LS7500 supports HDR, HDR10 and HLG with full 10-bit color processing, plus Epson Automatic HDR Scene Correction. Epson specifies a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for this model. As with any projector, room light, screen choice and image size will influence the contrast and HDR impact a buyer actually sees.

Is the LS7500 good for gaming?

The LS7500 supports 4K HDR input at up to 120Hz through its HDMI connections. Epson also includes Auto Low Latency Mode and states input lag below 20 ms. Those capabilities make it a credible option for current consoles and gaming PCs when a very large image is more important than the near-instant response of a competitive gaming monitor.

One HDMI port supports eARC, which simplifies sending high-quality audio to a compatible receiver or sound system. Bluetooth 6.0 can also stream two-channel audio from HDMI sources to compatible headphones, useful for private late-night sessions.

How flexible is installation?

The short-throw lens is the headline installation feature, but the LS7500 also supports manual lens shift of plus or minus 21 percent horizontally and plus or minus 59 percent vertically. Front-exiting airflow can make placement easier because hot air is not being pushed directly toward a rear wall or nearby seating.

It supports common 16:9 viewing as well as wider formats up to cinematic 21:9, with images up to 300 inches. Buyers should still plan the room before ordering. Screen size, projector distance, lens shift and seating position need to work together, and a short-throw lens does not remove the need for careful alignment.

What are the limitations?

The LS7500 costs $500 more than the LS6000 and $700 more than the LS5000 at Epson's US pricing. Buyers who have plenty of room depth should decide whether the short-throw lens and higher brightness justify that premium.

It also is not an all-in-one smart projector in the style of Epson's Lifestudio models. The LS7500 is better understood as a dedicated home cinema display that expects external sources and, for the best experience, a separate audio system.

Who should buy something else?

Choose the LS5000 if budget matters most and 2,500 lumens plus a conventional Epson Cinema lens suit the room. The LS6000 is the stronger middle option for buyers who want more brightness but do not need short throw. Buyers who want an ultra-short-throw projector that can live close to the wall should look at Epson's Lifestudio Grand or Grand Plus instead of assuming the LS7500 serves the same placement style.

A dedicated theater buyer prioritizing Epson's higher-end Home Cinema picture quality over price and compact placement should also compare the LS11000. The LS7500's appeal is the combination of current 4K HDR and 120Hz capabilities, strong brightness and reduced throw distance at a price well below Epson's established premium Home Cinema model.

Epson introduced the Home Cinema LS7500 on September 22, 2026 with a US MSRP of $2,699.99 and late-September availability through the Epson online store and select retailers. Epson's current US product page now lists model V11HC36020 at $2,699.99, so Brandligo treats the projector as released rather than announced.
